Two Injured in Late-Night Shooting at Oak Ridge Apartments on Moffett Road

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)- Late-night gunfire shattered the calm Tuesday night at Oak Ridge Apartments, leaving two people injured and raising renewed concerns about violence in Mobile neighborhoods.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the apartment complex located at 4215 Moffett Road just before 11 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that two individuals had suffered gunshot wounds during the incident.

Authorities said both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, police confirmed the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. Their identities and ages have not yet been released.

Investigators also discovered that an unoccupied vehicle parked at the complex had been struck multiple times by gunfire, highlighting the dangerous and chaotic nature of the shooting. Residents in the area reported hearing several shots ring out through the apartment complex late Tuesday night, sending neighbors scrambling for safety.

At this time, investigators have not released information regarding possible suspects, a motive, or whether the victims were specifically targeted. No arrests have been announced.
