DESTIN, Fla. (BuzzReport) — A chaotic early morning disturbance at a popular Destin nightlife establishment led to the arrest of five individuals after deputies were forced to intervene in multiple fights involving dozens of patrons, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Coyote Ugly Saloon on Harbor Boulevard, where OCSO detail units responded to reports of a fight already in progress inside the business. Deputies entered the establishment in an effort to restore order and escort one individual from the venue. However, authorities said tensions escalated rapidly as several additional fights erupted inside the crowded establishment moments later. According to investigators, the violence soon spilled out into the parking lot, where an estimated 40 to 50 patrons became involved in the disturbance. Deputies called for additional law enforcement units to respond as the situation intensified and crowd control became necessary. Law enforcement officers worked to disperse the crowd, separate those involved, and regain control of the scene. Witnesses described a chaotic environment as deputies attempted to prevent the violence from escalating further. As a result of the investigation, two men and three women were taken into custody. Authorities said the individuals face charges that include affray, a form of disorderly conduct involving fighting in public, resisting arrest without violence, or both offenses. No serious injuries were immediately reported in connection with the disturbance, and officials have not yet released the identities of those arrested. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
