According to officials, the incident unfolded when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle whose driver allegedly failed to yield to emergency blue lights. During the pursuit, a collision occurred involving the deputies’ unit. Authorities have not released specific details regarding the condition of the deputies, but confirmed they are receiving medical care. The department emphasized that their focus remains on the recovery of the deputies and supporting their families during this time. A suspect connected to the incident has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Issaquena County Correctional Facility, officials said.
