Escambia County, FL (BuzzReport) — A late-night shooting at a local event venue has left one man dead and two others injured, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the violence unfolded on April 24, 2026, in the parking lot of the 8 Fifty Event Center, located at 2148 Delano Street.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a Black male victim lying in the northwest corner of the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told authorities that the shooting was preceded by a physical altercation between the victim and several unidentified individuals. Moments later, gunfire erupted, sending people scrambling for safety.

During the chaos, a Black female was struck by a bullet in the buttocks. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and later released.

Authorities also revealed that a black vehicle fled the scene immediately after the shooting. That same vehicle later arrived at a hospital, where a third victim — suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest — was dropped off. Officials confirmed that individual survived.

Detectives have since interviewed multiple witnesses and collected video surveillance from the area as they work to piece together what led to the deadly encounter.

At this time, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.

The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
