Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A dramatic early morning fire sent crews rushing to the scene after a vacant home became fully engulfed in flames in a residential area. According to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (MFRD), units responded to the 1200 block of Carlton Acres East, where they arrived to find a single-story residence consumed by heavy fire. Firefighters immediately launched an aggressive attack, working for approximately 20 minutes to bring the intense blaze under control. Thick smoke and flames poured from the structure as crews battled challenging conditions to prevent the fire from spreading. Both were treated following the incident, and their conditions have not been reported as life-threatening.
