MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Two women were arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly attempting to steal merchandise from a local Sam’s Club, according to police.

Officers responded to Sam’s Club at approximately 5:15 p.m. on April 18, 2026, following reports of a theft in progress.

When officers arrived, store personnel had already detained two female suspects accused of shoplifting. Authorities said the preliminary investigation revealed that the women had concealed merchandise and proceeded past all points of sale without paying for the items.

The suspects were identified as 64-year-old Pamela Hawkins and 35-year-old Tyeisha Cleveland. Both were taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Police confirmed that the women were transported to Metro Jail, where they are facing theft-related charges. Officials have not released additional details regarding the value or type of merchandise involved.

The case remains under investigation.
