Bay Minette, Alabama (BuzzReport) — A shooting in the early evening hours Monday left one man wounded and prompted a swift, multi-agency response that led to the suspect’s arrest, authorities confirmed. Officers with the Bay Minette Police Department were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. on April 13, 2026, to the 400 block of South Hoyle Avenue following reports of gunfire involving a male victim. When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders rendered aid before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Officials say the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, offering some relief in what could have been a far more tragic outcome. As investigators began piecing together the events that led to the shooting, law enforcement agencies quickly coordinated efforts to identify and locate a suspect. With assistance from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Department of Corrections K-9 Unit, authorities were able to track down and apprehend the individual believed to be responsible. The suspect was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Baldwin County Jail.
