Man Arrested After Pipe Assault in Morning Dispute

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)- Authorities have made an arrest following a reported assault that occurred Monday morning in a residential area.

On April 13, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Donald Street and Wagner Street after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from minor injuries.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment. His condition has not been reported as life-threatening.

Following an on-scene investigation, officers determined that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the victim and a known individual. Police say the suspect struck the victim with a metal pipe during the altercation.

The suspect, identified as 69-year-old Jimmie Bell, was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently transported to Metro Jail, where he is being held pending further legal proceedings.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the nature of the dispute. The investigation remains ongoing.
