Man Arrested Following Domestic Assault on Ziegler Boulevard

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A 34-year-old man is in custody following a domestic violence incident Thursday afternoon in west Mobile, according to authorities.

Police say officers were dispatched at approximately 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2026, to the 7000 block of Ziegler Boulevard in response to reports of a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a female victim who had reportedly been physically assaulted.

Following a preliminary investigation, authorities identified the suspect as a known male acquaintance of the victim. The suspect, identified as Ryan Phelan, 34, was taken into custody without incident.

Officials confirmed that Phelan was transported to Metro Jail, where he is currently being held pending formal charges. The condition of the victim has not been released, but the incident is being treated as a case of domestic violence.
