MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man is behind bars following a domestic violence incident that unfolded Thursday evening in a residential neighborhood, according to police. Officers were dispatched at approximately 7:45 p.m. on April 2, 2026, to the 3400 block of Dandale Drive after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance in progress. When officers arrived, they observed a male subject actively running after a known female victim, raising immediate concerns for her safety. Police quickly intervened and detained the suspect without incident, preventing further escalation. During the on-scene investigation, officers determined that the female victim had been physically assaulted prior to their arrival. Authorities identified the suspect as Rodney Lynch, Jr., 33. He was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Metro Jail, where he remains pending formal charges. The condition of the victim has not been released, and officials have not provided additional details about the events leading up to the altercation. The case remains under active investigation.
