NEW ORLEANS, La. (BuzzReport) — A New Orleans man already facing numerous charges tied to child exploitation is now accused of dozens more offenses as investigators continue to build their case, authorities confirmed this week.

According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, Jamie Borne has been rebooked on a sweeping list of new charges following his initial arrest earlier this month. Borne was previously charged with dozens of counts involving child sexual abuse material depicting victims under the age of 13.

Officials say the latest development adds 195 additional counts to the case. He is also now facing two counts related to the alleged sexual abuse of an animal, significantly expanding the scope and severity of the investigation.

Borne was first taken into custody approximately two weeks ago during a joint operation involving Homeland Security Investigations and the Louisiana State Police in New Orleans. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the evidence leading to the new charges but indicated the investigation remains active.

During a court appearance this week, a judge set Borne’s total bond at $345,500. It is unclear whether he has retained legal representation or when he may return to court.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that cases involving child exploitation are often complex and can evolve as digital evidence is analyzed, leading to additional charges over time. The investigation into Borne remains ongoing.
