Pensacola, FL (BuzzReport) — A potentially dangerous barricaded subject situation in Pensacola ended without injury Tuesday morning after Escambia County Sheriff’s Office SWAT deputies safely took a 34-year-old man into custody.

Authorities identified the suspect as Seveyon DaQuon Richardson, who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants at the time of the incident. Law enforcement officials said the coordinated response by SWAT teams helped bring the situation under control without further escalation.

Richardson was wanted on a series of serious charges, including burglary and damage to property, multiple counts of criminal mischief, firing a weapon, aggravated battery related to domestic violence, weapon offenses, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to officials, Richardson also has an extensive criminal history, with at least 10 prior misdemeanor convictions and seven felony convictions. His past charges include battery, theft, burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, drug-related offenses, and weapons violations.

During the incident, SWAT deputies responded to reports of a barricaded subject and worked to secure the scene while attempting to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution. Authorities did not release specific details about the location or how long the standoff lasted but confirmed that Richardson was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators also indicated that Richardson may face additional charges stemming from items discovered in his possession at the time of his arrest. However, those details have not yet been fully disclosed.

Following his arrest, Richardson was transported to the Escambia County Jail, where he is being held pending further legal proceedings.

Officials credited the swift and coordinated efforts of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team with ensuring the situation was resolved safely, preventing potential harm to the public and law enforcement personnel.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
