Armed Suspects Caught on Camera twice as Gwinnett County family fears for safety after Attempted Break-in

Lawrenceville, GA (BuzzReport) — A Gwinnett County family says they are living in fear and preparing to leave their home after an armed man appeared at their apartment twice within hours, including one encounter in which he allegedly attempted to kick in their front door.

According to the family, the incidents occurred in Lawrenceville and were captured on surveillance cameras positioned outside their apartment. The footage shows a man holding a firearm approaching the residence on two separate occasions, heightening concerns for the safety of those inside.

The first encounter reportedly involved the suspect knocking on the apartment door while visibly armed. Although no one answered, the situation escalated later when the man returned. During the second visit, the suspect is seen on video aggressively attempting to force entry by kicking the door, prompting immediate fear among the occupants.

Family members say the ordeal has left them shaken and uncertain about their safety. They believe the suspect may be connected to a neighboring resident who was recently evicted from the complex. While authorities have not confirmed a motive, the family fears they may have been mistakenly targeted due to that situation.

“We don’t feel safe here anymore,” one family member said. “Seeing someone with a gun at your door — and then coming back trying to break in — it’s terrifying.”

Gwinnett County Police have been notified and are actively investigating the incident. Detectives are reviewing the surveillance footage and working to identify the suspect. As of now, no arrests have been announced.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents to come forward.

Meanwhile, the family says they are taking precautions and plan to move out of the apartment as soon as possible, prioritizing their safety after the frightening encounters.
