Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Mobile Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday morning after a woman attempting to sell a phone was confronted by an armed suspect. According to authorities, officers responded at approximately 8:10 a.m. on March 24, 2026, to the area of Kellogg Street and Sutton Avenue following reports of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who told investigators she had arranged to meet a potential buyer to sell a phone. During the meeting, an unknown individual at the location allegedly produced a handgun and ordered the woman to leave. Police say the encounter escalated quickly, leaving the victim fearing for her safety. It remains unclear whether any property was taken during the incident, and officials have not released a description of the suspect. No injuries were reported. Authorities have classified the case as an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives are working to gather additional information, including any possible surveillance footage and witness statements that may help identify the suspect.
