Stockton Couple Jailed on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges, Authorities Say

Stockton, AL (BuzzReport) — A Stockton couple is facing a series of serious felony charges involving the alleged sexual abuse and exploitation of a child, according to Baldwin County authorities.

Daniel Coon, 54, and Ashley Coon, 41, are currently being held in the Baldwin County Jail following their arrests in connection to the case.

Investigators allege that Ashley Coon is charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy, as well as permitting a child to engage in the production of pornographic material. Authorities further claim she furnished methamphetamine to the victim and instructed the child on how to use the drug.

Daniel Coon is charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of furnishing a controlled substance—methamphetamine—to a minor.

Both suspects appeared in court Monday morning, where a judge set bond at $300,000 for Daniel Coon and $450,000 for Ashley Coon. According to Baldwin County Sheriff Anthony Lowery, the bonds must be paid in full and in cash for either individual to be released from custody ahead of their next court appearance.

Officials have not released additional details about the victim or the timeline of the alleged offenses. The investigation remains ongoing.
