Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A police pursuit in West Mobile ended in a crash Monday afternoon after a man allegedly fled from officers in a vehicle believed to be stolen. According to officials with the Mobile Police Department, officers spotted a vehicle they believed had been reported stolen at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, near the intersection of Panorama Boulevard and Via Alta Drive. Authorities said officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly refused to pull over and fled the area, prompting a police pursuit. During the chase, the fleeing vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car near the same area. No injuries have been reported in connection with the crash. Following the collision, officers were able to safely take the suspect into custody. Police have not yet released the identity of the individual or announced what charges may be filed. Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released as investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the pursuit.
