Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man was arrested Wednesday following a reported burglary at a downtown Mobile church, according to police. Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded at approximately 11:30 a.m. on February 18, 2026, to a burglary call at the First Baptist Church of Mobile, located at 806 Government Street. Police said that upon arrival, officers encountered a male subject inside the church who resisted as officers attempted to detain him. Authorities reported that prior to police arrival, the complainant observed the suspect inside the building wearing the pastor’s robes. The individual was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was identified as Raul McMillian, 33, who was transported to the Metro Jail. Charges related to the incident were not immediately detailed by authorities. The investigation remains ongoing.
