BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (BuzzReport) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance as investigators work to identify a suspect connected to an unsolved theft reported earlier this month.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on February 10, 2026, in the 6000 block of Pinson Valley Parkway in Birmingham. Investigators say a utility trailer was forcibly entered, and several items were stolen from inside.

The stolen property includes multiple speakers, a snow cone machine, and a television. Detectives believe the suspect fled the scene in a red sport utility vehicle, possibly an older model GMC Yukon, which was captured in an image released by investigators.

The sheriff’s office says cases like this often rely on tips from the community, noting that even small details can be critical in identifying suspects and recovering stolen property. Residents and business owners in the area are urged to review any security or doorbell camera footage from the time of the incident.

Anyone with information related to this theft or the identity of the suspect vehicle is encouraged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office or submit an anonymous tip through local crime reporting channels. Authorities stress that all tips will be investigated and could play a key role in bringing the case to a resolution.
