Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Mobile police arrested a man Saturday morning after locating a stolen vehicle in the city. At approximately 10:07 a.m. on February 14, 2026, officers observed a vehicle reported stolen earlier this month from the OYO Hotel at 400 S. Beltline Highway. The vehicle was spotted in the area of Dauphin Street and Du Rhu Drive. Authorities initiated a traffic stop, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Darren Penn, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail. No injuries or additional incidents were reported, and the case remains under investigation. Police continue to remind residents to report any suspicious activity and remain vigilant regarding vehicle thefts in the area.
