McIntosh, AL (BuzzReport) — An early morning structure fire left a mobile home fully engulfed in flames in McIntosh on Monday. Fire crews responded at approximately 8:30 a.m. to a reported structure fire on Roberts Road in McIntosh. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a mobile home completely involved in heavy flames and smoke. Multiple agencies responded to assist in battling the blaze, including the Tibbie Volunteer Fire Department, Fairford Volunteer Fire Department, Wagarville Volunteer Fire Department, Charity Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, and Newman’s Ambulance. Officials said thanks to a rapid and coordinated response, firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. As a result, several assisting departments were canceled before arriving on scene. There has been no immediate word on injuries or the cause of the fire. An investigation is expected to determine what sparked the blaze. BuzzReport will provide updates as more information becomes available.
