Atmore Man Arrested on Drug Distribution and Possession Charges Following Search Warrant

Atmore, AL (BuzzReport) — The Atmore Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Wilson Avenue as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, authorities announced.

According to investigators, officers served the warrant at 236 Wilson Avenue and conducted a search of the property. As a result of the operation, Larry Lyons was taken into custody.

Lyons has been charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic Spice), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Police said the charges stem from evidence obtained during the execution of the search warrant, as well as information gathered during the course of the investigation leading up to the operation.

Following his arrest, Lyons was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center, where he is being held pending further judicial proceedings.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the scope of the investigation or whether further arrests are expected.
