Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A juvenile was taken into custody Friday night following an accidental shooting that left a man injured, according to Mobile Police. Officers responded to a local hospital at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, after a male victim arrived by personal vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities said the victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Investigators determined the shooting occurred a short time earlier while the victim was inside a vehicle at an unknown location. Police said a known passenger in the vehicle was improperly handling a firearm when it discharged, accidentally striking the victim. A juvenile male was arrested in connection with the incident and transported to the Mobile Metro Jail. Due to the suspect’s age, authorities have not released the juvenile’s identity or additional details. The incident remains under investigation.
