Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A woman was arrested early Monday morning following a reported burglary that resulted in significant property damage at a local repair shop, according to police. Officers responded to Mark McGugin Repair Shop, located at 2510 Hillcrest Road, at approximately 1:39 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, in reference to a burglary call. Upon arrival, officers found that a female subject had intentionally driven her vehicle through a gated portion of the property and into the business itself, causing structural damage to the building as well as additional property damage. During the investigation, officers determined that the suspect and the business owner were known to one another. The suspect was identified as Lacey Rose, 42, who was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Metro Jail. Authorities have not released further details regarding the extent of the damage or the specific charges filed. The incident remains under investigation.
