Mobile Man Arrested in Connection With Christmas Night Shooting on Boyett Street

Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man has been arrested in connection with a December shooting on Boyett Street, according to police.

Investigators identified Michael Glenn, 33, as a suspect following an ongoing investigation into a shooting reported on Christmas night. Glenn was taken into custody on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, and transported to the Metro Jail. He faces an assault charge.

Police said officers were dispatched at approximately 8:51 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, to the 2400 block of Boyett Street after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they learned that a male victim had already been transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident.

According to investigators, the shooting followed a verbal altercation between the victim and another male. During the dispute, police allege the subject produced a firearm and shot the victim.

Authorities have not released additional details about the victim’s condition or the circumstances leading up to the altercation. The case remains an active investigation, and police said further information will be released as it becomes available.
