Mobile Man Arrested in George Co. on Charge of Sexual Battery of a Minor

George County, Miss. (BuzzReport) — The George County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Mobile, Alabama, man in connection with a sexual battery investigation involving a minor child.

According to authorities, Christian Dykes, 22, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, by investigators with the George County Sheriff’s Office. Dykes has been charged with Sexual Battery of a Minor Child.

Following his initial appearance before a George County Justice Court judge, bond was set at $100,000 commercial. Dykes remains in custody at the George County Regional Correctional Facility.

George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon praised investigators for their work on the case, calling these investigations “difficult and sensitive.”

“Protecting our children remains a top priority, and we will continue to pursue justice for victims and their families,” Mixon said.

The George County Sheriff’s Office noted that the investigation required extensive effort and coordination by its investigators. No additional details were released due to the ongoing nature of the case.
