Man Hospitalized After Early-Morning Assault at Theodore Dawes Road Walmart

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A violent encounter in the early morning hours of Saturday left one man injured and sparked an ongoing police investigation at a busy Theodore Dawes Road shopping area.

At approximately 2:02 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Mobile police officers were dispatched to the Walmart located at 7320 Theodore Dawes Road in response to a reported assault. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a visible cut and a head injury.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. His current condition has not been released.

According to investigators, preliminary findings indicate the assault occurred while the victim was riding in a vehicle with a known male subject. Following the incident, the victim ended up at the Walmart location, where police were notified.
