Former Birmingham Fire and Rescue Battalion Arrested

Birmingham, AL (BuzzReport) — A former battalion chief with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service was arrested Friday on a felony charge, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Sebastian Alexander Carrillo, 54, was charged with first-degree theft from a motor vehicle. Authorities did not immediately release additional details about the circumstances surrounding the arrest or when the alleged incident occurred.

Carrillo served with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service for two decades, beginning his career in 2002 and retiring in 2022, according to a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page.
