Prichard, Ala. (BuzzReport)— The City of Prichard, in partnership with the Bullheads Community Action Group, will host the 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Walk for Hope on Monday, January 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The annual walk will start at Greater Ruth Chapel AME Church, located at 1214 Rich Avenue, and will follow a designated route through the city. Participants will proceed along West Main Street to South Wilson Avenue, continue to West Love Joy Loop, and then travel along East Prichard Avenue before concluding at Prichard City Hall at 216 East Prichard Avenue. Held in observance of Dr. King’s legacy, the Walk for Hope serves as a reminder of his enduring message of justice, service, and collective responsibility. City officials say the event also reflects Prichard’s continued commitment to progress, unity, and community engagement. Residents, families, faith leaders, civic organizations, and community partners are encouraged to attend and walk together in the spirit of remembrance and solidarity.
