PRICHARD, Ala. (BuzzReport)— The Prichard City Council will convene an emergency called meeting on Friday, January 2, 2026, to address urgent council business related to the Prichard Water Works and Sewer Board.

The meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. and will take place in the Council Chambers at Prichard City Hall, located within the A.J. Cooper Municipal Complex at 216 East Prichard Avenue, Prichard, Alabama 36610.

According to city officials, the primary purpose of the emergency meeting is to consider rescinding Resolution #2264-25. That resolution previously approved, ratified, and authorized The P3 Group, Inc. to serve as the City of Prichard’s designated representative for the limited purpose of negotiating a comprehensive solution for the Prichard Water Works and Sewer Board, subject to the final and binding authority of the City Council.

City leaders stated that the emergency meeting is necessary to allow the council to take timely action on this matter.

The meeting will be open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend to remain informed about issues affecting the City of Prichard.
