Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A quiet Christmas night was disrupted by violence in a north Mobile neighborhood when police responded to an assault call just before midnight on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Officers were dispatched around 11:00 p.m. to the 3000 block of Louise Drive North, where they found an adult male suffering from a cutting injury following an altercation. Investigators determined the victim and the suspect were known to each other, and the incident stemmed from a confrontation that escalated quickly. Emergency medical personnel transported the injured man to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported that the suspect did not flee and remained at the scene when officers arrived. Christopher Brooks, 55, was taken into custody without further incident and transported to Metro Jail.
