Gunfire Disturbs Quiet Mobile Neighborhood; Suspect in Custody

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — In the early hours of Saturday, November 29, 2025, a quiet residential stretch of Beretta Drive was pierced by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 3:30 a.m., Mobile Police were dispatched to the 8000 block after receiving reports of shots fired. 

When officers arrived, they found that a home had been struck by bullets during what investigators determined to be a heated altercation between two individuals known to each other. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported, and the occupants of the residence were found safe. 

Authorities quickly identified Jacarii Martin, 30, as the suspect. Martin was taken into custody without incident and transported to Metro Jail, where he now faces charges related to the gunfire. 

The incident has left residents of Beretta Drive shaken, raising concerns about safety in what is typically a peaceful corner of the city. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the altercation and are working to reassure the community that measures are being taken to prevent further violence. 

As of Saturday afternoon, additional details on Martin’s court appearance and potential charges had not yet been released.
