Law enforcement responded to the 415 Holcombe Avenue location yesterday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., after store officials reported suspicious financial discrepancies.

Upon their arrival, officers initiated an immediate investigation, which quickly revealed a sophisticated method of alleged embezzlement. It became apparent that 24-year-old Jason Cooper, Jr., an employee at the auto parts store, had reportedly been manipulating the business’s inventory system. The alleged scheme involved processing fraudulent returns of items to inventory while simultaneously pocketing the corresponding cash from the business.

Authorities swiftly identified Cooper as the individual responsible for the illicit activity. He was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to Metro Jail, where he currently awaits formal charges.
