Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – Chaos erupted late Friday night at a local convenience store when an employee discharged a firearm during a physical altercation with a customer. The incident, which occurred around 11:50 p.m. at the Chevron station located at 1373 Navco Road, resulted in one individual sustaining a gunshot wound.

According to preliminary reports, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene following calls detailing a shooting. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered a female employee had fired a weapon, striking another female individual. The altercation reportedly transpired inside the business premises.

The injured party, whose identity has not yet been released, was conveyed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle for immediate medical attention. Details regarding the severity of her injuries remain undisclosed.

Further investigation by responding officers pinpointed the employee involved in the shooting as Chaundra Green. Evidence gathered at the scene and through interviews indicated that Green discharged her firearm as the victim was exiting the establishment.

Following the incident, Chaundra Green was taken into custody by law enforcement. She was subsequently transported to Metro Jail, where she is currently being held. The circumstances leading up to the physical assault and the subsequent shooting are under active investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
