Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A routine attempt at a traffic stop in the early hours of Saturday morning escalated into a brief but intense pursuit across Mobile streets, culminating in the apprehension of a 27-year-old man now facing a litany of charges. Randal Terrell was taken into custody after his vehicle left the roadway following a refusal to comply with officers’ directives. The incident unfolded on Saturday, November 8, 2025, just before 1:00 a.m. At approximately 12:53 a.m., law enforcement personnel on Mobile Street attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Terrell, disregarded the officers’ signals and sped away, prompting a pursuit through the city’s thoroughfares. The chase continued for a period as Terrell actively attempted to elude the pursuing officers. The sequence of events concluded abruptly on Elsevier Street near Caton Avenue. Terrell’s vehicle veered off the pavement and drove over a curb, effectively bringing the evasion to a halt. Following the vehicle’s disablement, Terrell was taken into custody. He now faces multiple serious charges arising from the incident, including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempt to Elude, Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order. Terrell was transported to Metro Jail, where he remains pending further legal action.
