Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A late-night call on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, culminated in the arrest of a youthful duo suspected of a widespread vehicle break-in spree across Mobile, with authorities filing a staggering eighteen charges of Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle. The arrests brought an end to a pattern of opportunistic thefts that have plagued city residents in recent weeks.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Seven Hills Curve S. after receiving reports of two individuals actively breaking into vehicles. Upon arrival, law enforcement quickly located a juvenile female and an 18-year-old male, identified as Jason Holland, in the vicinity of the reported incidents.

Further investigation revealed that the subjects had unlawfully entered multiple unlocked vehicles in the area, a common tactic in such property crimes. What began as a localized response quickly escalated as officers connected the pair to a string of similar vehicle break-ins reported city-wide. The extensive number of incidents attributed to the duo led to the eighteen counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.

Jason Holland, 18, was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail, where he awaits formal charges and court proceedings for the extensive list of alleged crimes. The juvenile female subject was transported to the Strickland Youth Center, her case to be handled through the juvenile justice system.

Authorities continue to investigate whether other individuals may be connected to the broader network of recent break-ins. Holland faces serious legal repercussions, and the juvenile’s future remains in the hands of the juvenile court, underscoring the severe consequences of such unlawful acts.
