MOBILE, AL (BuzzReport)– A busy Saturday morning at the CVS Pharmacy on Old Shell Road was abruptly interrupted by a retail theft that quickly escalated, leading to a swift apprehension by local law enforcement. At approximately 11:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to the popular store located at 4453 Old Shell Road following reports of a significant theft. Upon arrival, responding officers were briefed by the store complainant, who detailed how a single suspect had managed to exit the premises with an estimated $600 worth of assorted, unpaid merchandise. The nature and quantity of the stolen goods have not yet been fully disclosed, but sources indicate a variety of items were taken. The incident, while disruptive, did not result in further complications. Law enforcement was able to locate and take the suspect into custody a short time later without any further incident, bringing a swift conclusion to the immediate pursuit. Adrian Monroe Detectives were called to the scene to process the area and gather further evidence. The individual apprehended has been identified as 61-year-old Adrian Monroe. Following the arrest, Monroe was transported to Metro Jail, where he is expected to face charges related to the alleged retail theft.
