MOBILE, AL (BuzzReport) – A routine call concerning a trespasser at a Semmes Walmart quickly escalated into a serious felony case after a 25-year-old Mobile County man was arrested Monday for allegedly issuing death threats against responding police officers.

Jeremy Conner, 25, was booked into Metro Jail on Monday on multiple charges, the most severe being Making a Terrorist Threat in the 2nd Degree.

The incident began when police were dispatched to the Walmart location in Semmes after staff reported Conner had refused to leave the premises. According to police reports, the situation turned confrontational immediately upon the arrival of officers.

Chief Todd Freind confirmed that during the arrest process, Conner allegedly made explicit death threats toward the responding personnel, threatening to kill the officers.

“This was not simply resistance during an arrest; the threats leveled against our officers were specific and serious enough to warrant the second-degree terrorist threat charge,” Chief Freind stated in a brief release regarding the incident.

Extends History of Confrontation

Conner currently faces charges of Making a Terrorist Threat 2nd (a felony), Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Trespass 3rd. If convicted of the terrorist threat charge, he could face significant prison time.

Police records indicate that this latest incident marks Conner’s eighth arrest since 2019, highlighting an escalating pattern of volatile and confrontational behavior within Mobile County.

Conner has a history of charges related to domestic conflict and public disturbance. Earlier this year, he was arrested for allegedly threatening to harm a family member with a knife. His previous booking records include charges for domestic violence, criminal trespass, menacing, and multiple counts of disorderly conduct.

Conner is currently being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail, pending a bond hearing for the serious felony charge.
