Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A Little Caesars employee in Mobile was injured Wednesday afternoon after attempting to stop a woman who allegedly tried to steal merchandise from the restaurant on Airport Boulevard. Mobile Police confirmed they are actively investigating the incident, which occurred just after 4:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the Little Caesars located at 2308 Airport Boulevard at approximately 4:30 p.m. on September 3rd, following reports of an assault. Upon their arrival, police met with the victim, an employee of the pizza chain, who recounted the unsettling events. According to the victim, a female subject entered the restaurant and immediately demanded merchandise. When the employee refused to comply with the demands, the suspect reportedly bypassed the counter, proceeded to select items herself, and then attempted to leave the premises without paying. The employee intervened, attempting to prevent the suspect from exiting with the stolen goods. It was during this confrontation that an assault occurred. The victim sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries in the altercation. The suspect fled the scene before police units arrived. Authorities have not yet released any description of the suspect. The Mobile Police Department has stated that this remains an active investigation and no further details are being released at this time.
