Stabbing Shakes Mobile Neighborhood, One Seriously Injured, Suspect Arrested

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)  – A violent incident unfolded in Mobile last night, leaving one man with serious stab wounds and a suspect swiftly taken into custody. The unsettling event, which began on a residential street, quickly drew the attention of law enforcement and residents alike.

At approximately 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Mobile Police officers on patrol near the busy intersection of Airport Boulevard and S. Florida Street were flagged down by distressed individuals. Among them was a male victim, visibly suffering from a severe stab wound. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

According to initial reports, the immediate focus was on rendering aid to the victim. However, upon further investigation by the Mobile Police Department, officers pieced together the sequence of events, determining that the violent encounter had originated blocks away, in the 600 block of Glenwood Street – a residential area not far from where the victim was found.

“Our officers responded swiftly to a distressing scene,” stated Mobile Police Department spokesperson, Sgt. Kevin Owens. “Their quick actions, combined with valuable information from individuals at the scene, were crucial in both securing medical attention for the victim and quickly identifying the probable location of the incident.”

The concentrated efforts of the responding officers led them to the Glenwood Street address, where they successfully identified and located a male subject. Wilson Garcia-Rodriguez, 25, was subsequently arrested without further incident. He was transported to Metro Jail, where he is currently being held. Specific charges against Garcia-Rodriguez are expected to be announced following further investigation and his initial court appearance.

The motive behind the stabbing remains unclear as the Mobile Police Department continues its investigation into the incident. Authorities have urged anyone with additional information related to the event to come forward and contact the Mobile Police Department.

The victim’s current condition has not been updated, but he remains hospitalized.
