Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A dramatic high-speed chase came to an end late Friday night, August 1, 2025, after a semitruck driver refused to stop for law enforcement. According to authorities, officers observed the semitruck speeding in the area of Dauphin Island Parkway and Old Military Road at approximately 11:18 p.m. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver failed to comply, leading police on a pursuit that spanned several miles. The chase ultimately concluded on I-10 just before the Malbis/Spanish Fort exit, across Mobile Bay. James True, 53, was identified as the driver and arrested at the scene. He was transported to Metro Jail. The Mobile Police Department successfully brought the high-speed chase to a safe conclusion, ensuring the safety of both the public and the officers involved.
