Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – In the early hours of Tuesday, July 29, local law enforcement responded to a robbery report at a retail location on Dauphin Street. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight, at approximately 12:00 a.m., drawing the immediate attention of both police and onlookers in the area.

Officers arriving at 3266 Dauphin Street found a female suspect, identified as 37-year-old Amber Lindsay, actively selecting merchandise from the store. Witnesses reported that Lindsay attempted to leave the premises without paying for the items. When a store employee intervened and attempted to recover the stolen goods, Lindsay allegedly threatened the employee with a firearm concealed in her purse.

In response to the threat, the employees at the store prudently decided to back away, prioritizing their safety over the recovery of the merchandise. The situation raised alarm among employees and customers, highlighting the potential danger of such confrontations.

Following the incident, law enforcement officials swiftly launched a search for the vehicle Lindsay used during the attempted robbery. With the assistance of surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts, police located the vehicle a short time later and arrested the suspect.

Amber Lindsay was taken into custody and subsequently transported to Metro Jail, where she awaits further legal proceedings. Authorities have confirmed that charges related to the robbery and the threats made against the store employee will be filed.
