BREWTON, AL (BuzzReport) – The streets of Brewton are safer tonight following a targeted and highly effective operation by the Brewton Police Department’s Narcotics Division. With seamless collaboration from the Patrol and Investigations Divisions, police have announced the apprehension of four individuals on serious drug-related charges, significantly disrupting local drug distribution networks.

This series of arrests underscores the Brewton Police Department’s relentless commitment to eradicating illegal drug activity within the community, removing dangerous substances like synthetic cannabinoids, methamphetamine, and opioid painkillers from our neighborhoods.

Leading the list of those apprehended is Gentell Green, 38, who faces a comprehensive array of charges reflecting extensive involvement in drug distribution. Green has been charged with two counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance (synthetic cannabinoids and methamphetamine), two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine and synthetic cannabinoids), Attempt to Elude, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also Apprehended were:

  • Tammy Wiggington, 67, charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone).
  • Walter Porterfield, 44, who faces charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).
  • James Williams, 47, arrested on charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Attempt to Elude, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone).

As the legal process unfolds, authorities confirm their ongoing vigilance in upholding the law and protecting the community from the detrimental impact of drug trafficking. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
