Troy Police Investigate Triple Homicide After Three Men Found Dead

TROY, AL (BuzzReport)– A triple homicide investigation is underway in Troy after three men were found dead in separate locations on Sunday, according to the Troy Police Department.

The first victim was discovered on New Street at approximately 10:31 a.m. Sunday. A second individual was subsequently found deceased in a nearby residence.

Investigators quickly learned that the first victim’s gray Nissan Altima had been stolen from the scene. Sometime later, the stolen vehicle was located on North Three Notch near Needmor Road, with the third victim found deceased inside.

Police confirmed all three victims were male. Their identities have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The Troy Police Department is working in conjunction with the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office as part of the ongoing investigation.

In a statement posted on social media, the Troy Police Department assured residents, “At this time, there is no known threat to the community.”
