Bibb County, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Macon Bibb County Fire Department, Georgia State Patrol, and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, conducted an investigation at Amerson River Park following a drowning incident on July 15, 2025. The incident occurred at 7:29 p.m. on Tuesday at the park. Following an extensive search and recovery operation, the final missing female was located and removed from the river. 10-year-old Skyler Worthen was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley at 2:58 p.m. on Wednesday. 7-year-old Summer McRae was pronounced deceased at 10:06 a.m. on Wednesday. Johnny Collins III was pronounced deceased at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday. First responders have cleared the area of Amerson River Park. The park is scheduled to reopen on Thursday morning.
