Santa Rosa County, FL (BuzzReport) – In 2023, a tragic overdose death occurred in our community, with the Office of the Medical Examiner determining fentanyl toxicity as the proximate cause of death. Following an investigation by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRSO), Jimmy Robinson III was identified as a suspect in connection with the incident. According to SRSO investigators, Robinson allegedly sold a pill containing fentanyl to the individual who later succumbed to the overdose. After consulting with the Office of the State Attorney, a warrant was issued for Robinson’s arrest. Robinson is currently being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond on charges of homicide. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to address the dangers of fentanyl and hold accountable those responsible for its distribution.
