Former Federal Probation Officer Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Exploitation

Water Valley, MS (BuzzReport) – A former federal probation officer has received a 10-year prison sentence for child exploitation. Lonnie Everill, 46, of Mississippi, pleaded guilty in January to receiving child pornography.

According to U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner, Everill had previously supervised sex offenders in multiple states, including Mississippi. In addition to his prison sentence, Everill was ordered to pay $13,000 in restitution. He will also be required to register as a sex offender following his release.
