Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A Mobile man is behind bars following an early morning shooting on Holcombe Avenue that left one man injured and two vehicles damaged. Demetrius Parrish, 35, was arrested on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, and charged with assault and two counts of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.

Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Holcombe Avenue at approximately 5:13 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a crime scene and learned that a male victim had arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that an argument between the victim and Parrish had escalated, culminating in Parrish allegedly shooting the victim.

Adding to the chaos, two unoccupied vehicles in the vicinity were also struck by gunfire, indicating a reckless disregard for public safety.

The investigation quickly led officers to Halls Mill Road, where Parrish reportedly wrecked his vehicle while attempting to flee the scene. Law enforcement apprehended Parrish at the crash site, effectively ending his escape attempt.

Parrish was subsequently arrested and transported to Metro Jail where he will face the aforementioned charges. The incident remains under investigation by the Mobile Police Department.
