Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – Swift action by Mobile Police Department officers led to the arrest of two individuals on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, following an attempted vehicle theft at BLP Paints, located at 3061 Dauphin Street. At approximately 8:00 a.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers encountered a situation where two subjects had gained unlawful entry into a company vehicle. Evidence at the scene indicated the suspects had attempted to steal the vehicle by damaging the steering column. Investigators noted that the vehicle had been left unsecured, a factor that unfortunately facilitated the crime. Following the discovery, a rapid investigative effort was launched. Law enforcement officers successfully identified the perpetrators and located them a short time later in the 150 block of E. I-65 Service Road. Joshua Dowden, 46, and Sharla Daire-Brady, 43, were taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to Metro Jail. Both individuals have been arrested in connection with the unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle. This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation.
