Attempted Robbery Foiled in West Mobile Neighborhood

Mobile, AL – (BuzzReport) – A brazen attempted robbery unfolded in the 300 block of Schillinger Road on Saturday afternoon, leaving a female victim shaken but unharmed. According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. when an unknown male subject approached the victim’s vehicle and demanded her property.

The would-be thief fled on foot after the victim refused to comply, but his freedom was short-lived. Officers quickly identified the suspect as a male juvenile and apprehended him a short time later.

The juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with robbery, criminal trespass, and giving a false name to law enforcement. He was subsequently transported to the Strickland Youth Center.

Authorities have not released the suspect’s name, given his status as a juvenile. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to determine if the suspect has any connections to other crimes in the area.

The Mobile Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately.
