Mobile Police Arrest 68 Yest Old Woman in Domestic Violence Assault Case

Mobile, AL – The Mobile Police Department responded to a domestic incident on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Bayshore Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim with injuries, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, police determined that a known female subject had struck the victim with a hammer during an argument inside the home. Lelia Harte, 68, was arrested at the scene and taken to Metro Jail.
